Dining Out: Flat Iron

Dining Out: Flat Iron

Girly catch ups are the best! I decided to meet my girls for Sunday lunch (would have been brunch but we just couldn’t make it that early). We rocked up to Flat Iron in Soho around 3.30pm and got a table straightaway, which was absolutely brilliant. Everyone I know that has been to Flat Iron has warned me about the insane waiting times as the restaurant does not take bookings. At peak times I’ve heard the wait can be up to two hours! Thankfully it seemed other steak lovers weren’t interested in eating at 3 in the afternoon.

The waitress sat us at a table right near the door which was great for the lighting but not so much for the cold gusts of wind every time someone opened the door lol.

We all ordered the steak and peppercorn sauce (not like we had much choice – at that time on a Sunday they only had the steak available, they had run out of the house special burger). To accompany it we each got a combination of chips and greens.

Food was delicious! Although I was initially a bit worried about the portion size it was actually pretty filling. It also helped that they offer each table a mug filled with popcorn while you order.

Of course I couldn’t resist a cheeky photo (or three) on our way homeDSC_0635DSC_0645DSC_0646

This is a great restaurant to try for sure. Although I’m not sure I would feel as  positive if I had to wait two hours for my table! Have you been to Flat Iron, what did you think of it? Let me know in the comments below.

My Rating: Originally 7/10. However, after trying Flat Iron in Shoreditch after my Date at the Gym I had to update my rating to 8.5/10!
