Dining Out: May Day Brunch at Christopher’s

The May Day bank holiday came and went way too quickly! I was drowned in a sea of netball and life admin but managed to make some time for a delicious brunch at Christopher’s in Covent Garden. After a quick trip to the dentist on Monday morning, what better to do than undo all that good work with some pancakes? 😁

Christopher’s was lightly bustling as usual, you would have thought it was a Saturday morning with the number of people there. I guess other people had the same bank holiday brunch idea…
We started with some tea while deciding what to devour. I really wanted pancakes but was really loving the sound of the lobster club. (Basically a club sandwich with lobster 😱) In the end I decided on the lobster and figured I’d save room for pancakes as dessert.
My sandwich was just wow! Absolutely delicious with gorgeous chunks of lobster (I love that they didn’t scrimp on the portion size), bacon, egg, lettuce and tomato in between two slices of toasted brioche. All I have to say is yesssss!
Leo didn’t deviate from his usual menu choice and got the equivalent of an English brekkie.
A cheeky bellini on the side of course!
I managed to squeeze in some pancakes with Nutella and salted caramel ice cream for dessert. But to be honest I was still in a daze from the deliciousness that was my main.
Well fed and in great spirits we headed home to sleep off the Itis!
The Verdict: All I can say is, go there and try it!
My Rating: A solid 8.5/10
Have you had brunch at Christopher’s, what did you think? And on another note, guys I need recommendations for brunch spots please. 🙂 What’s your favourite brunch spot in London? And in fact let’s make it global, after all I do love to travel so maybe I’ll check out some of your recommendations in other locations at some point. Let me know in the comments section below.
